Dear NCUS community,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank all of the members who have participated in our last few virtual symposiums. Hopefully you all were able to learn some new things from the excellent talks put together by our talented group of speakers. We are excited to start getting back together for some in-person sessions. This October we will meet at Carolina beach, NC for our Fall 2021 symposium. I, personally, am delighted to see everyone’s faces!

The past couple of years have been quite challenging for us as a society, but the ingenuity and adaptability of our committee members have allowed us to move forward with our mission. A big thank you to Rhonda Thomas & Cathy Daniels for going above and beyond to ensure our meetings were executed smoothly! In other exciting news, the NCUS is currently in the process of finally updating our website! It is still in the early stages, so we just ask for patience regarding the new updates as everything is under construction.

I also want to take a moment to tell you all that I am truly honored to have been elected as President of this amazing society! I look forward to serving the members of this organization to the best of my ability and leading us into the future during these unique times we are being faced with. I, along with the Board of Directors, will work hard to ensure that we continue to offer the desired needs of education, training, and peer networking that you require to maintain your professional certifications. I would like to encourage all of you to please consider participating in some of the available roles within our society. We are constantly looking for fresh ideas and fresh faces to come in and be the next leaders of this organization. This opportunity can help you network with some of the most amazing minds in our field, as well as broaden your knowledge regarding the ultrasound industry itself.

Lastly, if there is anything you would like to see the NCUS change or implement, please contact a Board Member and start a conversation about your idea. We are all here to help this society succeed, and we can’t do it without you! Thank you all for your continuous, loyal support to our association. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Sincerely,

Jessica Pizzo, RDMS, RVT
