The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures as ordered by the physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a two-year Ultrasound program approved by the AMA.
  •  Registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • 1-2 years experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ultrasound equipment, proper AIUM recommended protocol, Ultrasound positioning and possessing a high degree of manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Nuchal Translucency certification preferred or must be obtained within the first year of employment.

Ultrasonographer-Randolph Hospital (Asheboro, NC)

This position will provide health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. The Ultrasonographer will perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following areas:  OB/GYN, general, urological, and vascular.  Will demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner; exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics; and apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. .

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited sonography program or equivalent. 
  • Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
