Vascular Solutions is an independent vein & vascular center in south Charlotte, North Carolina. We are seeking an additional part-time and a full-time registered Vascular Sonographer to join our team.

Our primary focus is on the detection and treatment of venous insufficiency of the lower extremities; however, the ideal candidate should also have experience in all areas of peripheral vascular sonography and non-invasive vascular testing.

Qualifications:

  • This sonographer should have at least two years of experience in a vascular lab, or five years of experience in a general ultrasound department.
  • Successful completion of the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers examination in Physics and Vascular technology, attaining the certification of RVT. Alternatively, registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RPhS or RVS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT VS) will also be considered.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.

In addition to performing vascular ultrasound studies our ideal candidate must be willing to assist in miscellaneous duties to facilitate patient care; including rooming patients, assessing vital signs, preparing patients for vein procedures, applying leg bandages, and helping with room turnover.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs various vascular ultrasound procedures under the supervision of the chief technical sonographer.

Delivers excellent customer service utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and colleagues, including all internal and external customers.

MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:

Performs all vascular examinations completely with good diagnostic quality in a timely manner. 40 % 

Analyze test data accurately. Communicates findings to reading vascular physician in verbal and written form. 30 %

Operates, troubleshoots, and appropriately requests repair of testing equipment in a safe, appropriate, and knowledgeable manner. 10 %

Maintains skills for all current procedures performed. Learns new skills and procedures as changes occur. 10 %

Maintains CPR certification. 10 %

EDUCATION:

Required - High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred – Bachelors

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

BLS (CPR) - AHA Health Care Provider BLS

RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist

RVT - Reg Vascular Technologist

Additional information on required licensure/certification/registry/listings:

RVT or RVS from ARDMS or CCI

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred - 1 year Healthcare - Allied Health
